Biography

Misael is originally from Guadalajara, Mexico, and serves as a Business Development Consultant with Financial Advocates. He works alongside senior leadership on advisor acquisition, succession, market expansion, and strategic growth initiatives. His work combines market intelligence, competitive research, financial modeling, and advisor relationship management to evaluate opportunities, support informed business decisions, and help advisors navigate their growth and affiliation options.

Misael began his career at LPL Financial in advisor operations and consulting, helping advisors navigate complex brokerage, advisory, direct-business, and asset-transfer needs across LPL’s network. This experience gave him firsthand insight into advisor operations and the challenges firms face in managing and growing their practices—a perspective he now brings to strategic business development.

He holds a B.A. in International Business, focused on Economics, and an M.S. in Global Business Development from San Diego State University. During his graduate studies, he worked on international consulting engagements across the energy, e-commerce, and manufacturing industries, focused on market entry, commercialization, and business expansion across the United States and Europe. Building on this academic foundation, he is continuing his graduate education at SDSU through the Advanced Certificate in Financial Analysis, further developing his capabilities in financial analysis and strategic decision-making.

Outside of the office, Misael enjoys traveling to experience new cultures, attending music festivals around the world, and producing music.
